Local Restaurants and Shopping
Situated about 7 miles from us as the crow flies, or 13 miles if you are a turtle inclined to follow roads ;) is a small town called Lewisburg WV.
Our personal top 7 favorite Lewisburg restaurants (but there are many more):
The General Lewis Inn Dining Room (Excellent Farm to Table fare, elegant historic vibe)
The French Goat (impeccable french cuisine in an upscale setting)
Food & Friends (a wide array of delicious dine in or take-away menu options)
Hill & Holler Pizza (epic wood fired pizza & brews on tap)
Jim's Drive In (an authentic family owned/operated drive in restaurant)
Del Sol Cantina (latin inspired cuisine)
Carlitos Restaurant (authentic mexican food)
The place was clean and well-equipped. Plenty of things to do at the property if you are an outdoorsy person. I visited after the Renaissance fair which is a 13-minute easy and quick drive. 30mins from Lewisburg.
10 stars for awesome location, hospitality and vibe. Everything was perfect. 🌟
WOW - must stay, put on your bucket list now! Peaceful and serene with just enough creature comforts to keep you cozy! Timothy is top notch host. Highly recommend!!
It was an awesome stay here! We came with our friends. We lived in the Foxyridge dome and our friends live in Da Vince dome. Two domes are ~ 8-10 minutes away by golf cart. This is our first glamping experience here. We arrived late and the host still kindly brought us home-made ciders and fresh eggs (we fried them for breakfast in the next morning, very tasty!!!). It was 3-4 mins driving by golf cart from the parking lot to our dome, kinda scary but very exciting! We were amazed by the flashing fireflies all the way driving up to and around the dome! The hot tub was kept warm with lights hanging around. Everything was cute and sweet. We enjoyed massage in the tub, the quietness up the hill, peaceful bug sound around, comfy beds, and amazing views around. Definitely a great get away and worth the driving here!
One of a kind stay, would definitely recommend. The only negative I would say is that it’s a sharp turn getting in, but only for larger vehicles! Staff was amazing, easy to find, super cozy, layout is perfect, complimentary cider, kayaks, eggs etc This place is definitely on our list to come back to!
This was my first time glamping—and I really enjoyed it. The domes were clean, neat, organized, and were equipped to ensure all my needs were met. The dome I stayed in had claw foot tubs with wonderfully smelly bubble bath available. There was a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. The owner was attentive and did everything to accommodate our group. Highly recommend!
