Let me set the stage for our 3 night stay in the Meadowlark dome…
Day/Night 1: 70 to 50 degrees, sunny, clear night sky
Day/Night 2: 40 degrees, monsoon-like rain, 20+ mph winds, local flooding
Day/Night 3: 20 degrees, snow, 20+mph winds, local flooding
To say our stay was an adventure is an understatement but it was an absolutely amazing experience! Getting to experience all that weather with the clear ceiling and large window was remarkable. The dome was so cozy through all that weather, kept us dry, and had no problem battling the 20 degree nights to stay warm. Though it was too cold and muddy to take advantage of some of the extra outdoor activities the fire pit, star gazing, hot tub, rain shower, and speakers kept us plenty occupied. Timothy was on top of everything and checked in daily to see if we needed anything for the night.
The dome itself was very well constructed with beautiful details. The floor was made with glow in the dark aggregate with was an awesome visual in conjunction with the blue LED lights they installed around the bed. The same aggregate is outside on the fire pit pad. Very clean with everything you need to store and prepare food.

My boyfriend and I came here for a fall retreat and had an incredible time!! We stayed in FireLight with the twin tubs and felt every bit of WV magic. We enjoyed every little detail and would not stop talking about how well the dome is curated! The domes are visible from each other, but still feel isolated in their positioning—we somehow never saw the other guests, just their vehicles. It was chilly, but the colors of the leaves and heated amenities made fall a perfect time. We were able to cook with everything provided (including the complimentary farm raised eggs), enjoyed walking around the property, and went on daytime adventures to the Lost World Caverns, New River Gorge, and Pipestem Adventure park. I cannot recommend the domes enough and am looking at the gift cards for Christmas presents!
We picked up our golf cart and headed across the fields for Foxy Ridge. The setting was lovely. The Dome was comfy. We enjoyed our night of Glamping
We drove 6.5+ hours for a glamping experience and this did not disappoint!! We know NOTHING about camping and the kind and patient hosts made our experience amazing. First of all, we over packed with paper towels and flashlights and wine openers, etc. none of which were needed. The domes are equipped with everything. Just bring your clothes and food and drink (water provided). We were apprehensive by the golf cart trip up the hillside (we did bring bungee cords to strap down our luggage) past a herd of cows to our oasis in the field. We came to love the golf cart adventure and our daily cow interaction. We spent every sunset in the hot tub with a bottle of wine. That required us to make our first fire with the help of Timothy the owner. A few you tube videos later we were good to go. This certainly was.a trip of “firsts” for us. We cooked breakfast and also took advantage of the delicious delivered breakfast meal too. However every night went snuck into Lewisberg to try out new bars and restaurants. Our days were spent hiking or at the Ponoma Spa. It was the perfect mix of glam + nature. My personal favorite was waking up to the stars overhead, sneaking outside to catch them in all their glory, then crawling back into my heated bed watching them until I fell back asleep. Glorious trip!
The different accommodations in each dome provide features you wouldn't even think to want or need...things like heated toilet seats/beds. The farm eggs, and homemade cider were top-notch. The views are gorgeous and there's lots of wildlife to see on and off the creek. This is our 3rd trip to this place in less than 2 years. Every dome so far has had it's own special charm and I'm finding it almost impossible to choose a favorite. Love this place as a romantic get away and have spent two anniversaries there, so far and plan to spend more. Also, would love to book the larger dome with some friends. We cannot wait to try them all out. Spectacular service and staff. The owners are amazing! 100% satisfied. Can't say enough!
My sister and I had a wonderful girls trip. The dome was so unique. We stayed in Aromatic cedar. It smelled so good when we walked in. There are so many unique little touches and made us feel very luxurious. And the bonus of receiving Tim’s homemade cider was awesome. It is his gift to his guests to thank them for staying, and it was nice to have a little chat with him. We rented the golf cart and took several rides around the property. But the most amazing part was kayaking. We had to walk through some shallow rocky areas.. but Tim had let us know if we got past that, we could just go on for as far as we wanted. We had many laughs getting through those areas and it was so worth it. We ended up going for 3 hours and it was so peaceful and beautiful. Highly recommend anyone to visit here. It has something for everyone. You can make it an adventure or just relax by the water in the hot tub at the dome. We will definitely be returning with our husbands. My wife and I stayed recently at the DaVinci octodome for our 4 year wedding anniversary and to say things were perfect would be an understatement. We were greeted into our relaxing weekend from the get go with a warm welcoming from Tim with incredible hard apple cider that he personally makes. The trail that we used to access the dome drove between a cow pasture and muddy creek, we happen to catch the first dropping of leaves and it was absolutely beautiful. Not to mention we also were able to fish directly next to our dome and even had success! We cannot wait to come back with our kids to try out more and fun filled experiences with them. 100% will be returning to stay in the future!
