Alderson, WV – the home of WV Glamping Domes is a darling little town with a magnificent walking bridge spanning the gorgeous Greenbrier River. It truly lives up to it’s longstanding designation “gem of the hills.” Alderson is about 25 miles from the southern end of the new RIver Gorge National Park in Hinton WV.

Our stay at the WV Glamping Dome was nothing short of incredible. The location was beautiful, parking was easy, and the dome had everything we needed plus more. Even on a cold night, it stayed cozy and warm. We had one minor issue upon arrival and Tim took care of it immediately. Sipping Tim’s complimentary homemade cider while enjoying the hot tub and smokeless fire pit was the highlight of the evening. Waking up to the sight of fish jumping in the river sealed the deal — before we even left, we had already decided we’ll be returning for a longer stay in the future!
We recently stayed in The Manor and absolutely LOVED it! So much so we didn’t want to leave. We were looking for a last minute getaway and WV Glamping domes were all booked except for the manor so we lucked out! Though it is their biggest dome we loved having the extra space to go between the two domes. It’s camping with massive upgrades. Plumbing, heating/cooling, and a private secluded hot tub. I loved falling asleep hearing the creek running and seeing the stars. Waking up in the mornings and seeing the birds flying overhead was super cool. I think we said “this is so cool!” at least 50 times. We just couldn’t get over the experience. The hosts are so fast to reply if you have any questions and live right on the farm if you were to ever need anything. Thankfully we didn’t run into any problems! If you’re looking for a cozy place to reconnect with nature, your loved ones, friends, etc. this is the place to go. WV Glamping definitely still has a part of our hearts there and we hope to be back in the fall to explore even more 🧡

My husband and I stayed with WV Glamping Domes For our honeymoon last November. The experience was absolutely five out of five stars. We stayed in two domes over the course of the week, Meadowlark and foxy Ridge. Both domes were clean and had everything we needed. The locations are very private and beautiful. One night we had an issue with one of the hot tubs, we reached out to the owner who responded within minutes and was at our dome immediately. He was able to resolve the issue quickly, was very accommodating and wanted to be sure that we were completely satisfied and having a good experience. He also reached out several nights to offer a tasting of his homemade hard cider, which was delicious! We both loved waking up on the farm drinking our coffee while watching the cows in the field, we would go out and visit local parks throughout the day and go on adventures, but it was just as wonderful to come home to these domes grill our dinner around the fire and soak in the hot tub after a long day. We can’t wait to come back!
BEST WEEKEND EVER!! We had an amazing time sitting in the hot tub stargazing, cooking on the open fire, and laying in the heated bed watching the stars.
We had THE BEST time glamping over my birthday weekend in November. It was the perfect escape. The family who owns the rentals could not have been kinder or more accommodating. They were so gracious and you could tell how much care and thought they put into our experience. We were truly treated like family. They gave us excellent recommendations for hiking in the area. We laughed and laughed that every time we had a minor adventurous mishap it was because we didn’t read the instructions….I cannot recommend this experience highly enough.
